The Ideal Home Show is underway at Olympia London with over 600 exhibitors in attendance, alongside show gardens, demonstrations, show homes and celebrity appearances. We’re delighted to share the news that our very own POLYWOOD Adirondacks are featured in a show garden designed by award-winning interior designer Lynne Lambourne.
Lynne’s biggest passion is sustainability in the home and garden, and her Ideal Home Show garden this year is called ‘Grow Your Own Garden’. The idea behind the design is to inspire people to grow their own produce and not buy plastic-wrapped supermarket fruit and vegetables, as well as upcycle other items into useful garden tools and furniture. Lynne visits schools around the UK to teach them about plastic pollution and sustainability, so our POLYWOOD Adirondacks were the perfect choice, thanks to their impeccable eco-credentials. Each Adirondack is crafted from approximately 500 used plastic milk cartons, manufactured into POLYWOOD’s revolutionary ‘lumber’.
Alongside its fabulous green credentials, there are also other brilliant benefits to choosing POLYWOOD furniture for your garden. POLYWOOD is virtually maintenance-free, needing only a wash with soapy water if a drink is spilt on it or it gets muddy, and it can be left in situ all year-round as it is frost, snow, rain and UV resistant. There are a wide range of styles that are perfect for a contemporary or classic home, and POLYWOOD ‘lumber’ is available in some beautiful colours too.
